" NOT POTABLE "
Ooops!!! After our Church Service this morning,
a lady who speaks not the best English came up
to me and asked~ "What "NOT POTABLE" mean?
I asked her Why??? She said because it's written
over the faucet in our room... Ooops! Me & Dave
hadn't noticed that... I told her that it means "NOT
FIT TO DRINK". Some others heard us talkin', and
were as Dave & I (they hadn't noticed it either...)
So, I went back to our room, and sure 'nuff... there
were the "little" sign (but, written first in Hebrew,
then Arabic, and then English at the bottom...) I
asked Dave if he'd seen it, and he said~ "No, and
even if I had, I wouldn't have known what it meant."
Good think Modena thought to pack us some
Imodium, just in case... Oh well~ Live & Learn...
Jus' thought you all might git a kick out of it...
But, from the sounds of it, most of our folks missed
it, too...
